Our cellar door is situated at the heart of Domaine Evremond in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Our Cellar Door

Domaine Evremond is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just outside Chilham, Kent.

We offer a tasting, an estate tour, and a premium food pairing experience, all of which can be booked via the website. Our visitor experiences introduce guests to the story of the estate, its winemaking, and viticultural practices, while showcasing Domaine Evremond’s outstanding natural surroundings.

Whilst our tours and guided tastings must be booked in advance, we also welcome walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis to taste our long-awaited first release, Classic Cuvée Edition I, on our panoramic terrace or inside our cellar door. Light bites and soft drinks are also available. Please note that our terrace is weather-dependent. For general walk-in enquiries, please call our team on 01227696055. A three-course seasonal menu, crafted from local ingredients and designed to create three distinct impressions of Domaine Evremond’s inaugural release, Classic Cuvée Edition I. Each course is thoughtfully paired with a glass of the Classic Cuvée, allowing guests to discover the flavours of Kent both in the glass and on the plate.

    All-Day Easter Brunch

    11:00 to 17:00

    Celebrate Easter at Domaine Evremond with an all-day brunch at our cellar door on Saturday 4th April. In partnership with our friends at Whitstable Oyster Company, guests can purchase local oysters and seafood, accompanied with homemade bagels and a selection of other nibbles, whilst enjoying our Classic Cuvée. This feasting style brunch can be enjoyed against the backdrop of live music, as the first stirrings of our wildflower meadows as they begin to bloom.

    First anniversary of our Classic Cuvée

    Join us at Domaine Evremond as we raise a glass to a milestone moment – the first anniversary of our Classic Cuvée.

    Celebrate the next chapter of our story with an intimate drinks reception hosted by the Domaine Evremond family – Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, Vitalie Taittinger, Patrick McGrath MW, and India McGrath.  

    Tickets include free-flowing Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée Edition I, alongside seasonal canapés, local oysters, artisanal cheeses, and charcuterie, all set against a backdrop of live music.

    Monthly Live Music and Oysters

    On the last Saturday of each month, join us on the terrace for live music and local oysters. In addition to our artisan nibbles, guests will be able to purchase local oysters directly from our friends at the Whitstable Oyster co, the enjoy the perfect pairing overlooking the vineyards on our terrace.

    Discover and delight in the landscape and meadows of Domaine Evremond with Marian Boswall, the landscape architect responsible for designing the nature reserves around our winery.

    Join us as we explore Marian’s vision of synergy and longevity across the landscape. Walking together we’ll learn first-hand how she married the area’s rich horticultural history with the new opportunities the winery has brought.

    Tickets include an introduction to the landscape project at the Cellar Door, a guided walk of the nature reserves and a Q&A at the estate’s amphitheatre, perfectly paired with our Classic Cuvée.

Private Hire

Our stunning cellar door, which looks onto the press and tank rooms on one side and our vineyards on the other, is available for private hire. Seating up to 40 people, it is the perfect setting for a private party or corporate event. Our cellar door team is on hand to help create an unforgettable experience for your guests at Domaine Evremond.

  1. What are your opening hours?

    The cellar door is open Wednesday to Sunday 10:30 – 17:30.

  2. Do you offer tours without tasting sessions?

    No, all tours include a tasting of first edition Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée. We can offer a soft drink alternative.

  3. Can we come for a tasting session without taking an Estate tour?

    Yes, guests are welcome to book our Classic Cuvée Tasting without having a tour of the estate. Guests can also taste first edition Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée on the panoramic terrace on a first-come, first-served basis, weather-permitting.

  4. Are bookings mandatory?

    Yes, all our visitor experiences must be booked in advance. Bookings can be made via the website. However, guests can also taste first edition Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée on the panoramic terrace on a first-come, first-served basis, weather-permitting.

  5. Can children come on a tour?

    We are unable to accommodate children on our group tours and tastings, but they are welcome to join for a soft drink on our terrace.

  6. Are pets allowed on site?

    Dogs are not permitted on estate tours or in the cellar door, but well behaved dogs are most welcome on the terrace for walk-ins. We ask that you keep them on a lead and clear up after them.

  7. Need to make a change or cancel your booking?

    We do not offer refunds on bookings, but if you are unable to attend a tour or tasting, your booking can be changed for the same activity on a different day, subject to availability. Notice must be given 72 hours in advance to qualify for an exchange, and all exchanges are at the discretion of Domaine Evremond.

  8. What should I wear on my tour?

    If you are booked onto the estate tour, there will be an opportunity to tour the vineyard and enjoy a glass of our Classic Cuvée among the vines. As such, please dress accordingly (to keep yourself warm and dry), including suitable footwear.

  9. Can I leave my car overnight?

    No, cars cannot be left on site overnight.

  10. Can I book a private tour for a special occasion or group event?

    We accept online bookings of up to 6 people on both the tasting and tour. If you would like to book for more than 6 people, please email bookings@domaineevremond.com. Our state-of-the-art cellar door can also be hired for private and corporate events.

  11. When should I arrive for my tour?

    We ask that you arrive 5 - 10 minutes before your allocated start time.

  12. Will my tour still happen if it's raining?

    Estate tours will continue come rain or shine (if very wet, the first glass of wine may be enjoyed in our cellar door, rather than the vineyards). However, if the estate is under a met office weather warning we will call you in advance to rearrange.

  13. Do you have a shop at your estate?

    Yes – wine can be purchased to take home from the cellar door, along with a special selection of Domaine Evremond merchandise.

  14. Can we go to the shop even if we haven’t been on a tour of the estate?

    Yes, the shop is open Wednesday to Sunday 10:30 – 17:30.

  15. Can visitors buy something to eat on-site?

    Beyond our “Flavours of Kent” food pairing experience, we also currently offer light bites such as olives, cheese crackers and crisps to buy on-site. For something more substantial, our team will be able to advise on local restaurants and pubs that serve hot food.

  16. Can I book a table on your terrace?

    Due to the unpredictable British weather, we do not take bookings for our outdoor tables. These tables are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  17. Can I walk from Chilham station?

    Yes, the winery is a 30-minute walk from the station. Chilham is just one hour by train from London St Pancras (via Ashford) or there are direct trains from London Bridge or Charing Cross.

  18. Can I bring a picnic?

    Guests are welcome to bring picnics; however, picnics are not permitted to be eaten on the terrace. Guests are welcome to enjoy their picnics in one of our surrounding wildflower meadows or amongst the vines. Our hosts will happily point you in the right direction for this.
